FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I donate?

We accept cash, cheque and e-transfers for donations. Since we are a registered charity, any donation $25.00 or over makes you eligible for a tax receipt. Please include your mailing address with your donation so we can get that to you!
E-transfers can be sent to: animalrescuedonate@gmail.com

Can we visit the rescue?

Absolutely! We ask if you haven't visited us before to schedule an initial visit by contacting us on Facebook or by email. During this visit we will answer any questions you many have, go over our 'dos' and 'donts' and introduce you to our animals. Afterwards we have an open door policy so you can come and go as you please.
There is no cost to visit, however we do accept donations.

Can we feed the animals when we visit?

We ask that when you visit, please do not feed any of our rescue animals outside food. However, we do provide animal treats for purchase so you can feed our animals while visiting!
Since our animals have a strict diet, outside food could affect their health in a negative way.

What kinds of animals do we have?

At Out of the Ashes, we have nearly 100 animals. Many of these are large animals including horses, buffalo, cattle, goats, llamas, sheep, and more!
However, we also provide a home for smaller animals - like cats. All of our cats are barn cats that could not be successfully integrated into an indoor style home.

How can I volunteer?

We are always looking for volunteers at Out of the Ashes! During the summer, many of our animals are out on pasture which lightens our workload, so fall and winter are the times when we need volunteers the most! Contact us to get started in the volunteer process.

Do you have any animals available for adoption?

As a short answer - no. All of the animals at Out of the Ashes have a life long home with us!
However, we do assist other rescues in their search of finding an animal a home by sharing their posts on Facebook.
